Our Services

What do we do?

We will work for you or a cared-for person to continue living at home, in a familiar environment.

Our fully trained Care Support Workers can step in to support you as much or as little as you want. We’ll work with you to tailor a care plan that suits your needs. This could include support with washing and dressing, personal hygiene, going to the toilet, meal preparation, moving around safely, medication reminders and more.

Services we offer?

We offer full-time, one to one, live-in care to meet the following needs:

•    Dementia care

Dementia takes many forms and we will discuss care needs carefully, considering any medical advice you have been given, to ensure that we have the appropriate type of care and training to look after your loved one.   Successful care often depends on well-devised routines, consistency, clear communication and understanding the cared for persons’ needs

•    Help with Personal Hygiene care

This type of care ranges from helping people bathe, go to the toilet, get dressed and more.  It can be a difficult subject for many but we ensure the dignity of those we care for by listening to the client and their family to understand their personal wishes and by following well-honed established procedures

•    Help with food and shopping

Many clients need assistance either for food to be bought for them, to be accompanied to the shops to buy food together or to cook a nutritious meal in the home.  We are flexible and happy to work with clients to support them whichever way they wish.

•    Hospital discharge support

Getting out of hospital can mean a huge change to someone’s life.  There are many situations where someone may need additional assistance while they continue to recover or alternatively time to adapt to life with a more long term condition.  The key is our flexibility and strength base approach – helping ex patients to do as much as they can and stepping in where needed.  Our regular assessments mean that we can tailor the amount of care needed over time.

•    Medication and Prescriptions assistance

We help collect these and also help the client remember to take them.  Our medication system ensures we are alerted if clients don’t take medication and we can inform families or professionals as needed.

•    Help with household chores and laundry

From putting on a wash, drying it, ironing and putting away - we are happy to do what is needed in the washing department.  We are able to do normal cleaning and chores such as putting out the rubbish, but we don’t usually do deep cleaning or spring cleaning.

•    End of life care

The diagnosis of an incurable illness is an incredibly difficult time. Our palliative care at home is designed to ease the burden and maximise comfort during these challenging times.  We are compassionate, friendly and trained to help the client so they feel safe and cared for with dignity, privacy and respect. The care we provide ranges from help with personal and domestic care, 24 hour live in care to respite care.

•    Therapeutic activities

We support and engage our clients in therapeutic activities which includes functional tasks like bending, lifting, catching, pushing, pulling, throwing, squatting etc. An example of a therapeutic activity could be lifting a weighted object and placing it on the top shelf, which is mainly to strengthen the overhead shoulder. We also cover a wide range of creative and therapeutic activities such as arts, craft and performing arts: e.g. drawing, painting, photography, knitting, sewing, embroidery, tapestry, drama, singing, music. Our staff will follow instructions from health care professionals and family members to assist with therapies as required.

•    Learning & Physical disability support (for example PEG feeding)

Disabilities vary greatly and the amount of care and support needed will depend on each individual.  We provide bespoke disability care for individuals with various support needs. Sometimes this requires specialist training (eg peg feeding) and we will receive instruction from health professionals as necessary.

•    Sensory impairment

Sensory impairment is when one of the senses – sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste or spatial awareness – is not working as it should.  One of the biggest challenges can be communication and our carer support workers will follow our training and procedures as well as health professionals and family advice.

•    IT Support to skype, video call

This is such a great way of making sure that people can keep in touch and if a client hasn’t yet learned how to do so we will help them get online and active, increasing their enjoyment of life and connecting to those they love.

•    24-hour live-in care

Our live-in care service seeks to provide high quality care, helping people to define their own care path whilst promoting independence. For many reasons it can be necessary for a client to need someone at their home for 24 hours a day caring for them.  We have experienced, well trained care support workers. We are tactful, as unobtrusive as possible and respectful of our client’s home and preferences. Our live-in care support worker must have a separate room to stay in. We match care support workers with clients carefully so that clients are as relaxed as possible.
